The ONLINE DEADLINE for scheduling class will be Thursday at 4 pm prior to the start of class.

If you are unable to submit your application online, please visit our office before 3 pm on Friday prior to the start of class.

You are required to complete the application and payment process before you will be scheduled.

Patient Care Technician


4 weeks you can earn your Patient Care Technician/Assistant certificate and after completion of the 150 hour training program you will receive a training certificate in Patient Care Technician Training and you will be eligible to sit for the National Certification to become a Certified Patient Care Technician and be ready to work in the medical field as a Patient Care Technician. As a Patient Care Technician you may perform some or all of the following tasks:

  • General Patient Care

  • Monitor and recording of patient vital signs (Temperature, pulse, respirations, blood pressures, pulse oximetry)

  • Patient Care related to EKG and phlebotomy

  • Infection Control and safety

  • Perform basic phlebotomy procedures

  • Professional Responsibilities of PCT

  • Phlebotomy techniques and applications

  • EKG Monitoring

  • Prepare blood, urine, and other body fluid specimens for testing

  • CPR certification


Requirements to sit for the National Patient Care Technician exam include the following:

  1. Successfully complete this 150 hour training program

  2. Pass the training program with an 80%

  3. Complete 10 successful EKG’s on live individuals

  4. Complete 30 ventipunctures and 10 capillary sticks on live individuals

  5. Successfully complete 25 testable nurse aide skills and 13 non testable skills

  6. Scrubs must be worn for all training classes and clinical hours. Supplies

that are recommended include a notebook , pens/ pencils and high


  1. 18 Years of Age or Older, High School Diploma, GED or International High School Diploma Equivalency

  2. Government issued signed, non– expired, photo ID

  3. Show proof of a 1 step Mantoux tuberculin test (TB) within 12 months of the start of the training course.
